What’s New With Us

Anyone working in Construction will know how busy the industry currently is… Every trade seems flat out, every development pushing to hit dates. We love it and just can’t help but think it’s when we work at our best! Our management team may say otherwise ;-/

So far, 2018 is working out well. We have trained more people than ever; 30 Apprenticeships, 60 scaffolding qualifications obtained from Part 1, Part 2 and Advanced, 48 First Aiders and all lorry drivers are now CPCS trained. Having bought the crane, we’ve trained 4 Crane Supervisors, along with 2 Appointed Persons… We always try to invest back in our team, our products and ensure the quality of work remains as high as ever! Thanks to all involved in helping this become achievable. Here’s hoping the remainder of 2018 continues to remain as positive.

New Contracts won…

Bellway Essex – The Furlongs, Main Road, Great Leighs – A development of new homes in Great Leighs, set between Braintree and Chelmsford, consisting of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom properties.

Weston Homes – Abbotts Site, Dartford – This development is the next phase to the site at Mill Pond, Dartford, where we have been on site for the last two years… The new phase will consist of four RC frame apartment blocks and starts imminently.

Autumn Golf Day

We have our Autumn Golf Day coming up. This will be on the 6^th October at our usual spot – Three Rivers Golf Club, Stow Maries. 

First tee off will be 12pm so if you could arrive at 11 for bacon rolls, tea, coffee etc that would be great.

One more reason to stay with us…

We’ve recently made the decision to offer a private medical care option to all employees who have been with SeaBro for 5 years or more. Having used the facility recently, I wanted to reiterate how simple it really is to use this fantastic benefit… All you need to do is download the MediCash app and enter your policy details. These can be found on the confirmation letter you were sent about two months ago. Should you need these details again, just contact myself (Sam Allen) or Sam Noakes and we will help. Once you have the app, just click ‘Make A Claim’ and answer a couple of questions. The money will be in your bank account within 3 days!

Please note, you do not need to worry about whether you have a ‘new’ injury or existing problem to claim. This insurance is a preventative benefit so anyone who has it, can claim. Treatments that are covered are: Dental Treatments, Optical Treatments, CT, MRI & PET Scans, Mental Health, Sports Massage, Chiropractors, Prescriptions, discounted gym membership. The full list has been attached to this newsletter in employee’s wage slips. One other thing, children are free on your policy and you are able to add your partner for £4 per month. So, if you aren’t yet a long-term employee, here’s another reason to consider sticking with us!

Weston Homes Golf Day

Many thanks to all at Weston Homes for not only inviting us to their Annual Charity Golf Day, but for also putting on such a fantastic day! We all had a fabulous time.

Weston Homes were delighted to announce that a record-breaking £155,000 was raised for St Clare Hospice. With the incredible help and support from those who took part and the sponsors, this amazing cause should continue to grow and help those in need.

Just a quick reminder that any of our staff with a company vehicle; licenses now need to be checked 4 times a year. You will be notified when these are due. You must also notify Sam Noakes should you receive any points and if your address changes you must provide a copy of updated driving license. Thanks as always for your co-operation with this matter…
